Our first session will be spent getting to know one another, discussing what’s led you to therapy, and giving you an opportunity to ask me questions. From there, we’ll meet weekly for 50 minutes. Sessions are a combination of conversation and therapeutic exercises, such as progressive muscle relaxation, for you to be able to take into your day-to-day life.
Read MoreThis is different for everyone, but I ask my clients to commit to weekly sessions for at least 12 weeks. This allows us enough time to make legitimate progress toward your goals. After that time, some clients wish to continue coming weekly, others move to less frequent sessions, and others feel confident enough to transition out of counseling (although I’m always available if they need support in the future).
