Owning a business allows you to do good and meaningful work that aligns with your strengths and what you can offer our world.
But entrepreneurship isn’t for the faint of heart, is it?
You’re well-acquainted with stress, isolation, and the fear of failure. And yes, these things can help motivate and spur you to new heights. But if you’re here, reading this, it’s probably because they’ve begun to do more harm than good.
Somewhere along the way you’ve become your own worst enemy, and you’re wondering how the heck to change that.
Hey, in case no one has told you this lately:
You’re not doing this wrong.
The fact that you’re here at all shows that you have the self-awareness that many others lack — and it’s that awareness that has the potential to help you get unstuck. Your high expectations of yourself are responsible for getting you to where you are today, but I want to offer you a safe place to let down your guard (possibly for the first time ever).
Who It’s For
Counseling for entrepreneurs is for you if you’re a purpose-minded business owner who wants support in becoming a more grounded, authentic, vibrant version of yourself. You’re already in a place of self-discovery and want someone to help guide you on that journey.
You’re motivated by contributing to the world in a meaningful way, and you’re willing to examine your past experiences, thoughts, and behaviors in order to do that better. You know this might be hard and uncomfortable work, but that the end result will be worth it.
We’ll use techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and other treatment modalities to help you get unstuck and cultivate more fruitful relationships with yourself and others. We’ll also explore how these things can influence your approach to your business.
Sound like you? Let’s chat. I offer online sessions and flexible times to accommodate your busy schedule.
Who It’s Not For
Counseling with me isn’t right for everyone, and that’s okay. My experience has shown that business success comes as a byproduct of a healthy business owner, so we spend most of our time addressing you and your life beyond the context of just your work.
That means that those who are focused more on their business than their own health and identity — who shy away from examining their past or looking inward to identify what could be holding them back -- will probably not get what they’re looking for working with me.
If you are wanting a “quick fix,” I also may not be the best option for you.
Counseling with me is about doing the hard work to create lasting change, and that takes time. While I absolutely offer ways to improve your day-to-day life, we focus more on cultivating long-term growth.
